The Coeliac Uk website gives simple, practical diet on what to eat and drink making it possible for coeliacs and the wheat intolerant to lead a normal life.  I especially like the recipe section and can vouch that the recipes I’ve tried so far have been yummy!

Supermarket shopping

Most major supermarkets publish free from lists either as emailed documents or as information on their websites.


Waitrose send out published food lists, simply send an e-mail to customer services with your address: customer_service@waitrose.co.uk


Sainsbury’s have a page with links to their free-from products sorted by categories: wheat free, nut-free etc.



Tesco have developed a ‘Free From’ range to ensure that food allergies and intolerance do not restrict people’s options for a healthy and balanced diet. All the products in this range are free from gluten, wheat or milk and there are over 150 products such as pitta bread, baguettes, pasta, cereal bars. Free From foods can be found grouped together in most stores.
