GI MAP Test Description

We use the Nordic Labs Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP) to assess the DNA of your gastrointestinal microbiota (bacteria, yeasts and other microbes) from a single stool sample.

The GI-MAP detects and measures the levels of specific species and strains of microbes that might be disturbing the balance of your microbial ecosystem and/or contributing to your symptoms. This test is very similar to the ones NHS doctors use when they look for specific pathogens, and is both accurate and reliable.  Armed with the results, we can create a bespoke, personalised programme to address your gut dysfunction.

Also, because the GI-MAP measures the levels of the microbes it identifies, we can retest after your treatment to find out how effective your programme was.
